This past weekend was perfect.
I knew Ashley and Scott's wedding day was going to be amazing after we first met. This incredibly sweet and genuine couple came to my home just after the New Year for a little meet and greet. We ended up talking for a little over three hours... and I think it's safe to say we hit it off. From that moment on, I was tickled to death excited to be their photographer and capture their big day.
Ashley and Scott were both born and raised in Southern MD, and have been together nearly eight years. I have to say that one of my favorite moments from their day was after they were announced husband and wife the crowd literally went wild as Ashley cheered, "Finally!" Cute just doesn't cut it.
Their day was perfect. They said their I do's at the Marriott Ranch in Hume, Va along the Blue Ridge foothills ( a backdrop near and dear to my heart). This beautiful venue was definitely a hidden gem off of I-66 near DC and down winding country roads. As soon as I drove up, I was instantly smitten and I knew we would have endless back drops to work with.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this couple, this wedding, their families, and their friends. There were too many favorite moments and details to count. Everyone there instantly made me feel like part of their family and I just love when that happens.
