Last weekend’s wedding at Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa in Morgantown, WV was absolutely stunning. Combine the perfect couple, a wonderful family, beautiful blue skies, a gorgeous floral wedding ceremony backdrop by Bella Fiore, and sunset photos at the 7th tee, and well, you have a perfect day.
This photographer was simply in heaven.
It was such a treat to capture Cody and Lindsey’s big day. My second shooter, Kristin Hurley (check out her beautiful silhouette sunset shot below), and I had a blast and truly enjoyed shooting such a sweet couple and in such beautiful weather.
Cody is co-owner of Skinner Insurance and Lindsey is a third grade teacher in Barbour County. Cody and Lindsey grew up just a town apart. Cody is from Elkins, WV, and Lindsey is from Buckhannon, WV. Although they grew up just 27 miles from one another it took a little help from Match.com for them to find one another. It did not however take them long to fall in love, and on their first date at Oliverio’s restaurant they actually talked so long the restaurant started closing up. They knew instantly that there was something special between them. They also quickly discovered they both had a bit of a love affair for movies, and that became their favorite pastime as a couple. Sharing their first kiss at a movie theater and spending so much time bonding over movies, they decided that would make the perfect theme for their wedding.
I personally loved it when their saved the date arrived in the mail, they were too cute! “The Love Story of the Century”, just like a movie poster. Nothing makes me happier than to see couples making their wedding day their own and tying in sentiments that are meaningful for them.
Cody and Lindsey did a beautiful job making their day a wonderful celebration of their love story. Between sweet sentiments like the bride’s bracelet as her “something borrowed” from her Aunt Mariann to popcorn favors to tie in their theme the day was nothing short of wonderful.
Thank you both so much for inviting me to share in the fun and capture your beautiful memories for you. It was such an honor and I hope you’ll enjoy looking back on these moments for many many years to come. You are such a beautiful couple!
…Oh, and be on the lookout for their wedding video! It was such a pleasure working alongside Tyson Murray and I have no doubts it’s going to be a stunning final product.
